Abstract:

Bookworm, a 12 year old library based organisation located in Goa has been innovating practices that enable reading within diverse environments.

A sharing of the journey followed by an interaction with Sujata the library lady will follow.

About the speaker:

Sujata Noronha has an M Phil in Education from TISS Hyderabad and is now pursuing a PhD. She is based in Goa, where she works with texts, children and educators through her library based organization, Bookworm. Bookworm contributes to the continued dissemination and creation of content around libraries and reading from India through Torchlight, a Journal of Libraries and Bookish Love. Bookworm has published books for children and adults and continues to seek opportunity to network with organisations that are committed to empowerment that comes from the act of reading. She also hosts a Library Educator's Course, a one of its kind professional development course for people interested in children and libraries.
