Speaker: Shri Rama Shyam, Programme Head, Education & Citizenship, Apnalaya. Apnalaya is a non-profit organization founded in 1973 which works with marginalized communities living in slums of Mumbai, particularly in the M-ward. It seeks "to empower the disadvantaged to overcome the many social, political and economic barriers they face, and to help them access opportunities that lead to a better quality of life". Apnalaya has recently published a report of the situational analysis of the M-ward.
