The talk will be on different menstrual products currently being used and their impacts on the health and the environment. There will be a focus on why there is a need to shift to sustainable options and which of the available options are sustainable, what materials they are made of and how to use them. The speaker will also show different products available, some of which she will also have for sale. Women and (particularly) men are encouraged to join.
Indumathi Nirmalkumar is the Founder Director of Shrunkhala, an Non-profit organization, focusing on Sustainable Development. Her education has been in human resource development and she did a PG Diploma in Youth Development and Social Change from TISS. Before starting Shrunkhala, she worked with the NGO - YUVA. She has been a self-motivator striving for a minimalist lifestyle and sustainable living.
