Abstract:
In this talk, I will narrate my personal experience of working as a teacher educator in Azim Premji Foundation. Azim Premji Foundation works in the field of public education and is committed to bringing quality change in the public education system through individual teacher capacity development. I will share my experience in the light of larger ideological and structural framework of Azim Premji Foundation. Touching upon this framework would help draw the broad contour of the foundation's work in the complex domain of teachers' professional development. It is hoped that this sharing of my experiences would help enrich the long standing debate of theory-practice divide.
