Abstract:
MIT’s Office of Digital Learning has developed a suite of educational software services that provide foundational functionality supporting the needs of next generation educational application development. Based on significant (15+ years) prior investment in educational domain modeling and systems design and development, this work is now being leveraged to support innovative educational products and experiments at MIT and elsewhere.
This presentation will provide an overview of this work and demonstrate some of the applications being developed, including Fly-by-Wire, a new adaptive assessment system for authoring, delivering and analysing results from individualized assessment experiences driven by learning outcome models and pathways.
