Title:

Exploring High School Student's Perception About Vaccination

Abstract:

Vaccination has continued to be a subject of ethical, social, political, and scientific debates. This study was an attempt to explore high school students' reasoning on medical ethics in vaccine research and their perception about vaccination in general. The study design largely draws its inspiration from the socio-scientific pedagogical frameworks and historical anecdotes about vaccination in literature to make sense of students' reasoning. The fieldwork presentation reports preliminary findings of 3 online focus groups studies conducted with a total of 18 students from 3 government schools, and how it informs emerging research questions.
